The Association Meetings division has been a staple of the CMP Meeting Services portfolio since its inception in 1986. Understanding the complex needs of the Association and incorporating these needs has long since been an art, a chess game if you will, with the CMP team as Chess Masters. Bob Schuster, Director of Conferences and Events, has developed this market for the past 20 years. As head Chessmaster, Bob stands ready to assist your organization with the skillset necessary to perform for you.

We understand the process from the onset to the outset and we implement our processes to streamline activities to produce desired results. Our goal is to affect a significant cost savings-return on investment—providing legendary service while minimizing the risk to our clients. With every meeting we produce, we implement SMM (Strategic Meeting Management) strategies to develop the best scenario for our clients. Our goal is to watch business trends, decide when the correct time has come to source a meeting or event, then contract as far out as is comfortable for the client, ultimately saving the client thousands in multi-year contracting offers and better rates for their attendees.

We monitor spending once budget is created along with best Practices for Sourcing. Our understanding of each of our clients and their brand is of upmost importance.  The setting up of registration—invitation and ground transportation early on in the pre-event stage sets the tone.  Consultation and enhance our clients overall Marketing Program from Pre-Event to Event has become vital these last handful of years.  We monitor, track and manage those activities throughout the Pre-planning process.  The management of the Event onsite allows our clients the freedom to handle their responsibilities.  Once the Event has concluded we follow up on billing and evaluations.  Next step is—Prepare for the next Program.
